Fountains Court is built in the environs of a small ravine on a road that winds in a gentle sweep to the unspoilt sands of Scarborough’s North Bay. Behind the hotel our land is compact and steep but surprising.
An outside patio spa with 7-seater hot-tub and infra-red sauna and showers is tucked away in a secluded corner of Mediterranean blue.
A flight of stone steps leads upwards to a Zen Garden gently resonating with the sound of moving water, wind chimes and bird song while even on the dullest day a subtle light catches the air. A place to sit and to be. There is decking area for sunbathing and a heated breeze hut to sit and watch the wild-life.
We are a quiet hotel so ask that any noise from the closing of doors to the volume of televisions, voices and laughter to be as soft as possible.
There is parking at the front of the hotel for ten cars though we find many of our guests travel by train as the station is a very short distance by taxi and only a 15 minute walk.
